Is it true I can start using SAFSMS for free
You can use SAFSMS for free for one (1) term on a trial basis, after which you will be required to pay for a subscription plan to continue using the system. Every school is entitled to ONLY 1 term free trial.
What is the initial start up process like?
We try to make the SAFSMS start-up process as smooth as possible. Once your interest has been confirmed, you should receive a proposal from an assigned sales staff. A data collection form will be sent out to your school after payment has been made. Then the information collected from this will be used to configure your school’s SAFSMS database.
After this, a staff training will now be scheduled which usually takes 3 days or less (depending on the number of your staff that we need to train). Once the training process is complete, your school can begin using SAFSMS smoothly.
How Long is the Start-up process?
Typically, the entire start-up process takes less than 2 weeks, depending on how fast you are able to return your data collection form.
How long does the SAFSMS trial period last?
Your SAFSMS trial lasts only one (1) academic term. After this, you will be required to pay for your subscription in order to continue using the system.
I‘ve requested the trial version but I haven’t heard from you
We try to respond to requests as soon as we get them. However, because of the number of requests we get, this may be impossible and it will sometimes take up to a week to respond before you hear from us. Note that all requests are responded to in the order that they were placed. I referred a school but I haven’t gotten any feedback from you
Before inviting a school to use SAFSMS via our Referral page, we will advice that you have a relationship with the contact in the school whom you are referring us to and that he/she has indicated some interest in the software first.
When we receive your referral, we will call the contact and convince them to sign up for SAFSMS. If it is successful, ONLY THEN will you receive your referral commission (20% of the sign up fee paid).
Due to the number of referrals and requests we get, it may take us up to 2 weeks – 1 month to follow up with your referral.
If I have a problem using SAFSMS What should I do?
If you have any questions about how to use some features on SAFSMS, kindly visit our comprehensive Knowledge base which can be accessed directly from the app by clicking on the ‘Need Help’ button at the top. Just type in your query into the search bar on the Knowledge base to get a response.
Alternatively, you may also get assistance from the staff in your school who is the designated SAFSMS Admin.
In the chance that you still cannot find the information you need or if you are experiencing a system error, you can get in touch with a support officer by raising a help ticket right from the ‘Need Help‘ button on the app.

How Do I try a Demo of the Software
If you want to see how SAFSMS works, request an instant free demo directly on the website. Log in details will be sent to your email with which you can access and try out an online demo.
As standard follow up procedure, a sales staff will contact you a few days later to find out your demo experience. You may use this avenue to schedule a live demo presentation if you wish.
How can I upgrade my SAFSMS plan?
If you are using a Standard or Premium plan and you would like to upgrade to gain access to more features, kindly contact your designated SAFSMS account officer and you will be directed on the necessary steps to take.
How Can I get sarted right away?
You can start using SAFSMS at any time by filling the request form and waiting for a sales staff to contact you within 3-5 working days. It may however sometimes take longer than that. If you want to skip waiting, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org stating the same name & school name placed on your request and a sales staff will prioritize your request
Can Tertiary Institutions use SAFSMS?
No. SAFSMS is for nursery, primary and secondary schools only. For tertiary institutions, please try out SRMS which is our advanced records management system built to handle all the complexities of tertiary institution records. Kindly try that out instead, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Can non-tech savvy staff use SAFSMS?
SAFSMS is very easy to use. It simply requires basic knowledge of a computer to operate. After the staff training, all staff should be able to use SAFSMS easily.
Can I adopt SAFSMS in the middle of a school session?
We usually advice starting with SAFSMS at the beginning of a new session, to allow enrollment officers and admin a chance to start entering records from a fresh academic year. However, a good number of schools have successfully introduced SAFSMS during the second or even third school term. It all depends on you!
Can I transfer all my previous data/records on to SAFSMS?

Can I use SAFSMS to manage multiple schools/a chain of schools?
Yes. SAFSMS is a multi-school solution and has been used severally to manage several branches of one school, in different locations.
My School’s Grading Format is unique. Can I customize SAFSMS to meet my needs?
That’s the amazing thing about SAFSMS. It is an indigenous solution built by FlexiSAF engineers from the ground up. As such, we are able to tailor it on request to suit your every need. However, certain customization features may come at an extra charge.
Who can request for SAFSMS?
Any school administrator or major decision maker in the school is in the right position to place a request for SAFSMS on behalf of their school. Most times, teachers do not have the decision-making power to back up a SAFSMS request, although there may be few exceptions.
Parents and students are most likely not suitable to request for SAFSMS, but can rather make a referral and stand the chance to earn 20% commission if the school signs up.
Where can I get the SAFSMS mobile App
The SAFSMS Mobile app is available on Google Play store. Get it here. NOTE that only staff from schools with a valid SAFSMS license can log in and make use of the mobile app.
How secure is my data on SAFSMS?
Safety of your data stored on SAFSMS is 100% guaranteed. With de-centralised log-in access for every staff role, each staff can access information that only concerns their job role.
In addition, all of SAFSMS information is hosted on a very secure cloud service which uses network architecture built to meet the requirements of the most security-sensitive organizations.

SAFSMS is an online cloud-based information management system. It can be accessed from anywhere, on any internet enabled device.
