In 2005 FlexiSAF was established with our flagship product, the results compiler. The idea for the results compiler was as effective as it was simple: Leverage technology to improve student performance tracking in Nigerian Schools. The results compiler will prove to be the first step that will lead to the giant strides that Flexisaf would take to revolutionize edtech in Nigeria over the next 15 years, but we are getting ahead of ourselves.
The results compiler’s goals were simple:
- Increase teachers’ efficiency in collating results
- Reduce the time spent by school administrators in collating school results
- And finally, reduce the errors made by administrators in recording student results
Working with a small team of creative engineers, we began to develop a solution that we believe was necessary for educators especially in Nigeria. After months of hard work, in 2006 we launched the results compiler and the journey began.
As the results compiler became an accepted technology for education in Nigeria, especially in Gombe state where all Government secondary schools began using the compiler, we believed that we could expand our technology base and offer more schools better solutions to their teaching and administrative challenges using technology.
Working with the first set of schools we continued to improve the results compiler, adding features that enabled schools not only record and store results but the results compiler helped schools analyze results for students and classes.
The results compiler opened up a new frontier in education and technology in Nigeria and we were very excited to be leading this charge. This led us on the path that we are on today; working to transform education across Africa using technology.
Along the way in this journey, the results compiler became SAFSMS.
