Grand Regal School: Easing Teachers Workload with SAFSMS

Grand Regal School was 8 years old when the administration decided they needed a result processing system to lighten the heavy workload of teachers and school admin.

The Challenge

The school – like many others was faced with the major challenge of “End of term rush hour” when teachers had to input student scores before the collection deadline, which often led to errors in result compilation, not to mention a hectic work period for the entire school.

After considering the best way to ease these challenges, the school finally opted for SAFSMS in 2017 and has been using the school management software since then.

School Background

Founded in 2009 with just 5 pupils (from 2 families), 2 teachers and a secretary, the school has since grown to a population of 22 staff and about 170 students.

Grand Regal School is currently located in Gwarinpa, Abuja with plans on moving to the Lugbe permanent site soon.

The founding vision of the school is to maximise each child’s potential in all areas and to develop effective and enthusiastic learners.

Impact of SAFSMS

Following the school’s growth and the need for a solution to manage timely result processing, SAFSMS was introduced in 2018 after a comprehensive staff training session.

Since then, according to Mrs. Obiezue (Asst. Head of School), there has been accurate and timely compilation of students scores in the school and end of term rush hour is less hectic.

Moreover, Parents can now access their child’s information from anywhere.

For the teachers, the convenience is unprecedented;

“We can input scores from anywhere – even at a party – without being in school”

SAFSMS also helps the school produce attendance reports on a class or individual level which can be viewed by management
