Researchers have repeatedly shown that students learn more effectively when they are engaged and that the best way to engage them is through multisensory and participatory learning. One of the ways we can achieve this is through an interactive board.

An interactive board is a large interactive display board, similar to a regular whiteboard. It could be in the form of a  touchscreen computer used independently for operations or a touchpad that can perform the function of remote control for computers. People use an interactive board in classrooms, corporate board rooms, coaching or training halls. Any activity that we can perform on a computer monitor can also thrive on an interactive board.

Our fast-paced, tech-driven world makes capturing students’ hearts difficult. It is even more challenging to keep their attention. Yet, the best education is both an art and a science. Educators are integrating technology into the classroom and encountering excellent results. Interactive boards provide a variety of interactive features that can keep students engaged.

Interactive boards are proven to make learning more engaging and interactive. Hence, instructors can motivate students to participate in learning activities.

An interactive board projects visual elements, and as a result, learning becomes more engaging for students. It also facilitates differentiated learning since instructors can accommodate different learning styles. For example, visual learners can view the board, while tactile learners can touch it. Interactive boards integrate various learning styles into one method of teaching.

Using an interactive board can encourage students to participate in active learning processes.

Interactive boards are being installed in classrooms all over the country because it enhances the learning process, not only for teachers but also for students. The touchscreen feature makes it easy for teachers and students to access programs with a simple touch of their fingertips.

It is possible to display various media types on an interactive board, be it photos, graphs, maps, illustrations, or videos.

The interactive board connects to the internet, which provides access to various online tools and information. Instructors can access videos, articles, images, games, and more to enrich and support their lessons.

The interactive board allows instructors to simultaneously present images, presentations, and videos to a class. It is a valuable tool in the classroom, helping teachers support learning in no small way.

Putting questions or typing them on an interactive board,  and getting students to work in groups to find the answers, is a great way to get students thinking.

Interactive boards allow students to participate in class lessons more actively, making the lessons more engaging. For example, students can choose the correct answers, play games, or write out spellings and sentences, making learning fun.

The interactive board also provides students with information in an engaging and easy-to-read format that helps them retain knowledge. In addition, incorporating images and videos on a screen helps to stimulate learning.

Group activities, including the whole class, can be done through electronic presentations. Thus, the teachers do not write on the board as much, and the students have more time to learn.

Utilizing an interactive board also facilitates collaborative learning and problem-solving activities among students.

Students can view, hear, and interact with the material on an interactive board. They become a part of the lesson and can even teach one another. Through touching drawings or writing on the board, students demonstrate their understanding of the subject.

Educators can transform standard lessons into engaging activities that engage students while they learn by using interactive boards.

Additionally, students have access to many resources for research and learning. Students learn better and remember it better when they are more engaged in the classroom. When it comes to teaching, having the right tools make a big difference, especially in the classroom. An interactive board is one of the right tools in every class because It provides a variety of physical and visual objects for children to use as they explore and learn.
